Kawasaki disease: Symptoms & Treatments
Symptoms Kawasaki disease is an acute vasculitis that often occurs in young children. When left untreated, coronary aneurysm is known to occur in about 20% of patients. The exact cause of Kawasaki disease has not yet been elucidated, and there is a hypothesis that patients with genetic predisposition, especially those with Asians, are more likely to develop Kawasaki disease.
